I dont know if this has been done before but a newbie asked me what a certain abbreviation was the other day so i think this is a good start...Maybe...Hope I'm not breaking any rules....:ermm:

SI = Self injury or self injuring

DSH = Deliberate self harm or deliberate self harming

SH = Self harm or self harming

ED = Eating disorder

PTSD = Post traumatic stress disorder

Please add any I have left out :eyeroll:

BPD- Borderline Personality Disorder
OD- Overdose
Trig- Triggering
SU/SUI- Suicide, although tags shouldn't actually say SU/SUI
Adult- Self explanatory

Yep! it is meant to be meaningful because it can be very confusing to people who come here to find some advice and get hit with all sorts of "slang"

I have an AD (thought have never said it on this site) = anxiety disorder.

I know there is a few on the guide but no nearly as meany as poeple use.

Thank you for letting us know what all of these mean, I quite often find myself reading threads, seeing abbreviations and being like :confused: 'What are they talking about?!'

I've tidied up the list a bit, as it maybe of some use in the future for whatever reason, i may even categorise them if i get bored later on (:

So please quote and add on at the end, so people aren't repeating the same ones over and over again; people can simply flick to the last post as well then ;]
