What's your favourite alcoholic bevvy?
 

So I'm sitting here, drinking ridiculously cheap cider and thinking...

"what I wouldn't give for a nice double JD and lemonade, of a bottle of Micky Finns right now"

...and this got me wondering, what do the fine booze drinkers of RYL like to drink most?

I've been on a rather massive Jack Daniels trip at the moment.
And tequila. Totally and utterly in love with tequila.
Southern Comfort.
Desperados is NICE.
Red wine too.
Vodka's up there easy.
Cider's a winner.

Basically,if it's got an alcoholic content,I'll most probably drink it.

Pretty much anything that doesn't actually taste like alcohol, but will still get me drunk. Current favorites include: Vanilla vodka and tequila rose (tastes like strawberry milk!), and of course bitch beer, like Mike's Hard Lemonade. Cause it's yummy.

Double Malibu and diet coke
or Archers and lemonade
or if i really can't afford to be out... Cider and black

ooh pernod and black makes a great shot (if they dont have absinthe).

I'm the same, I only really like vodka and lemonade as you can't taste it.

I like Baileys and shots like sambuca though as well :)

1/2pint srtongbow + 1/2pint blue wkd = pondwater/fairy liquid (it tastes amazing and is bright green!!)

It really depends on the purpose...

As far as what tastes best, mixed drinks, like pina coladas or margaritas or whatever are good, and I'm getting to like wine pretty well (although I could barely drink it at all when I first tried it). Bailey's and chocolate milk is really good, too.

But alcohol doesn't taste very nice, so things that I think taste nice usually have lower alcohol content, and so are less effective. Plus I don't like having things that need refrigeration (like juice or stuff to mix with things - stuff with alcohol doesn't really spoil, so it's just a matter of preferring to drink it cold or whatever), cause then I have to put them in the common room, so I tend to forget about it. The only hard liquor I've had that I actually like is coconut rum, although I was okay with raspberry rum and vanilla vodka as well. Plain vodka is one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted though. I had raspberry vodka once and hated it, but I'd not had much alcohol before at that point, so I'd probably do better with it now. And most of the liqueurs I've tried were way too sweet, which is kind of weird considering I still eat plain sugar and honey, but idk...

Vodka is skank...no I will not grow to like it. I used to like it.

I drink wine/beer whatever...but you can beat JD.

I really don't understand how anyone can like vodka.
Sure, it gets you drunk, but taste-wise? Eugh.

If i'm just having a quite pint, Greene King IPA is delicious.
