Reasons To Recover

Hi!
I've been struggling a lot recently. I've been feeling so unmotivated and generally quite lost in everything.
I wanted to make a post where I state what I want to recover for, and I hope you can join me by posting why you want to recover :)

1. To be happy with myself
2. To be able to have fun
3. To have children
4. To bring happiness instead of worry to those around me - who deserve that
5. To be healthy

I will add to this! Massive handfuls of love to you all. Keep fighting

I can't really help but just wanted to bump this as it's an ace idea for a thread and just wanted to say that I hope your recovery is going ok.

I want to be able to be strong enough to put myself out there to do foster care

I think this sounds really positive. :)

I consider myself recovered now, but my reasons were so that I could have energy and feel alive again, so I could enjoy tasty food and so I could give advice to others without being a massive hypocrite.

Wishing you all the best in your recovery!

To do sport and training again
To go back to uni and do the best I can with studying
To be able to go out and enjoy times with my family and friends
To have energy again
To enjoy the things I like, not spend the days worrying about weight and food and calories
To be able to eat foods that I like without feeling guilty
To have my personality back
Because there is more to life than this

I have other problems going on in my life that usually triggers my on again and off again ED. I know that I have to deal with those problems too, and stopping my ED cold turkey is not going to bring me instantaneous happiness in life. But it's a start. Deal with ED, deal with life, deal with problems - it puts me on that path to a positive momentum that will help take me to a place where I want to be eventually.

As an immediate goal though... no more purging means less expensive dental work (I've had to pay a few procedures out of pocket as I have maxed my insurance plan and they are not cheap!) which means more money for shoes! :)

6. To be strong enough to help others
