Dystopian novel recommendations????

I love dystopian fiction but I've read eeverything that my beloved Google has to offer in the way of "if you like this then you'll like this" suggestions. I've conquered the mainstream stuffso now it aseems impossible to find anything else. I'd love some suggestions. :)

I've read:

1984
Brave New World
A Clockwork Orange
Animal Farm
The Jungle
Dies the Fire
We
Hunger Games Trilogy
...just to name a few

I'd love something less mainstream if possible; experience less famous authors

Brilliant suggestions! I do enjoy YA for sure.

I'll have to look at betterworldbooks and see if any are available.

Thanks so much!

The difference engine by William Gibson and bruce sterling, it's like a Victorian era blade runner

For me, the best ones are 1984 and Neuromancer

Both great reads. Fun fact (imo) Neuromancer was published in 1984 (:

The dark tower series by steven king is rather dystopian. If not that one, then "The stand" by the same author definetly is.
Have you read "Do androids dream electric sheep?"

Oryx and Crake by Margret Atwood- I personally found it to be mind-blowing and very intense.

If you are ok with reading a play I can recommend this one:
R.U.R. by Karel Capek

What about I am Legend? I haven't read the novel, but liked the movie.

I've heard about people really liking Ender's Game, but am not sure if it is Dsytopian or plain sci-fi. I also think it is a series of books, so it could keep you busy for a while.

What about Philip K. Dick novels? I think he basically invented the sci-fi genre and that at least some of his works are dystopian. The story Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is the novel that the Blade Runner movie was based on. I imagine though that it really depends on if you are ok on reading something very sci-fi.

If you like fantasy novels maybe have a look at Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. I read it ages ago and enjoyed it a lot.

I second the suggestion of 'Never Let Me Go', fantastic book.

Agreed. It's such a shame really, it could have been great if done properly.

The Divergent series is really good. So is the Hunger Games series. I also recommend the legend series by Marie Lu. Another good book being made into a series is the maze runner by James Dashner

John Wyndham’s novel, The Chrysalids is fantastic.

I'll add another vote for Never Let Me Go, and Dark Materials trilogy.

Lord of the Flies you've probably read. Not sure if its dystopian or not.
