RYL Downtime Notice - 8pm GMT Saturday (Tonight)
 

Hello Members!,

RYL is going to be briefly offline for about 15-20 minutes around 8:00pm-8:30pm GMT tonight, Saturday the 6th of April

We are going to be moving RYL to new and upgraded network and server infrastructure tonight which is exciting stuff on the techy side and really moves us into a great position for many more years to come! More details available later on for those who are interested!

The upgrade has been well planned by James and we have most of the work done already, so we aren't expecting any issues with the move. This short amount of downtime is however sadly unavoidable.

I've set up a twitter account and a facebook group, and I will keep you updated via those as things are happening :

No not new site just new servers etc - you won't notice any difference once the site comes back on - sorry :)

Wasn't too bad now was it!

It is now highly unlikely RYL will ever be down for 15 minutes ever again. Twin 1000mbs Internet feeds, twin switches, twin firewalls, two massive servers (128g ram in each) with duel network and power feeds and an extra 64gb of ram will do us nicely for a little while to come!

And from now on we will be able to upgrade software, move servers or update components all without taking RYL offline at all.

And it's sooo quick, just downloaded a 1GB file in less than 8 seconds!

RYL is being well taken of!
