In my opinion Pontypool is a must! It's not a normal zombie type film but well worth checking out, made my hairs stand up watching it and i've seen it a few times!

Carrie is on netflix.

So is The Human Centipede, but I don't suggest you watch that. Saw it for the first time the other night and I couldn't sleep afterwards, seriously. Horrible thing.

Horror films have never been that appealing to me. The more gore the less interesting they are. One horror film that I do like is the original vesion of "The Haunting" from 1963. It was directed by Robert Wise (Sound of Music) and is very well done with no gore at all. The scene where the two women are holding hands while the noises are pounding through the mansion halls creeped me out for weeks when I was a kid. I still think of it whenever my tootsies hang over the bed lol

I freaking love horror films and never get freaked out or anything like that but that was one film that made me feel sick, for that reason it's a must to watch! Not many films have done what that film has.

I usually love horror but that one just chilled me in a bad way.

I know!
I'd seen it before and we watched it at my girlfriends house and I had to take her knitting needle with me to go pee because I was scared. Her dad was like, 'Just don't stab my wife..."

I thought Sinister was good too, Mama would be worth a watch also in my opinion. ETA just realised Mama probably won't be out yet.

BridgesAndBalloons 05-04-2013 04:15 PM

Resident Evil Retribution wasn't bad, although I like those films so my opinion might be biased. The Possession might be worth a watch, I thought it was pretty good.

Cheers for some of the ideas, keep em coming, although the old ones I have seen

Is "The Wicker Man" (1973) a horror film? I never saw it but its always listed as a classic Halloween film for some reason

Leo Pard 06-04-2013 02:29 AM

"or my other child". Clearly it would be OK if you stabbed me...

eek, yeah, that was the worst one I think. I'm getting shivers just thinking about it!

I also enjoyed Orphan. If you like mental health-related stuff, Dorothy is also quite good.
