Grandma

Yesterday , the 8th , Just as was finishing my lunch and listening to The Beatles , My Dad Phoned me to let me know My Grandma Had Died , I was very upset, I had visited her in Hospital on the 7th (MY 30th Birthday) and she was almost totally unresponsive , breathing short and sharp and didn't open her eyes at all, when the visiting hour was over I leaned over the bed rail and sai "Goodbye Grandma" and her head leaned slightly in my direction , after I had my meeting that I had it town yesteday my sister picked me up and I spent the night at Mum and Dads in the village To support them , especially Mum.
Wehn I got the Call I was in tears , I called my friend and cried to her then cried at my befriending lady and was then tearful with my nurse, Now though I'm NUMB , I didn't expect on my birthday that my Grandma would be gone the next day , I think I'm in a bit of shock, I am putting my energy into help my Mum should she need it . I don't know what else to do .........

I'm sorry for your loss. You will go through all kinds of emotions but remember whatever your feeling is okay. Allow yourself to grieve, losing someone you love is always hard. It's great you want to be there for your mum, she will probably need you but remember to look after yourself too. Take care

Know that whatever you are feeling - sadness, anger, numbness, anything at all - is okay to feel. It is part of your process. Its great of you to want to be there for your mom, and I'm sure she will need support and love, but make sure to take care of yourself too. Don't feel the need to bottle yourself up for anyone. Keep talking to your support system. Here and in real life. Its okay to reach out.

*hugs*

Always here if you want to talk.
