Just when I thought I'd seen it all..

The YouTube vid below is deffo one of the strangest adverts I have ever seen but it clever in it's own way even if I reject the message.

"Pee in the shower! Save the Atlantic rainforest!"

New TV ads in Brazil are encouraging Brazilians to save water by peeing in the shower. According to the AP, Brazilian environmental group SOS Mata Atlantica says the ad campaign uses humor to persuade people to reduce the number of toilet flushes, because if a household avoids one flush a day, it can save up to 1,157 gallons of water per year.

In the animated spot, various characters are shown peeing in the shower, including a basketball player, the Statue of Liberty, Alien and a murderer a la "Psycho" (at :23). At the end of the ad, the kids narrating in Portugese yell, "Pee in the shower! Save the Atlantic rainforest!"

I can use as much water as I want. And i'll tell you why.
Every single Australian has an average of 2.4 children. I plan to never have children, so I have enough daily water, energy and whatever else for 3.4 people. Its my little way of conserving the planet.

Never thought I'd see the likes of that. Lol.

Technically urine is sterile. Surgeons will even let it leak into the body during kidney transplants. However a shower drain could easily start to stink if it wasn't treated with strong cleaners regularly.

^ Eh, I don't think that's much of a problem as long as you pee at the beginning of the shower and then all that soap and water goes down the drain after it. Seems quite sensible really, I'll have to pee in the shower more often :P

O.O that was so... weird i see where they're coming from but the advert was bloody weird!

If I had to do that, I'd tell them where to shove it. :woot:
