I am sorry to hear that you slipped into a depressive episode.

Are you getting the support that you need to get better?

MunchBox 08-07-2020 11:27 PM

I handed the drugs in. But good news, my application to live independently has been successful and can start viewing flats.

I've been feeling better since I was last on this thread. Things are still looking up. Thank you

Unbreakable. 09-07-2020 12:42 AM

Really well done!
That can't have been easy.

I am excited that you can start looking for a flat & glad you are doing better :)

Auror. 09-07-2020 07:35 PM

That all sounds really good! I hope the search isn't too difficult right now and you can find a nice place. Will you have support in place for when you're on your own?

MunchBox 25-07-2020 10:15 AM

Found the perfect place and got offered the flat, if all goes well, I'll be moving end of August :)! I'll have support from carers coming in.

Thank you, guys.

Serendipity. 25-07-2020 10:48 AM

That's amazing! I hope it all goes smoothly! So proud of you <3

Unbreakable. 26-07-2020 10:30 PM

That's so exciting!!!

one_step_closer 27-07-2020 07:20 PM

That is amazing! I hope enjoy it bringing in a different sort of place. Good luck for the future.

Hooray, brilliant news! Good luck with the move; sounds like it will be a really positive step for you :)

MunchBox 31-07-2020 06:45 PM

Thanks guys, really, thank you for your support.
Things are still okay, mood is somewhat stable but and hearing the odd voices at night which can be distressing but I'm coping better and cpn thinks it's my depot wearing off. Got my OPA Tuesday I'm sure it'll be positive.

one_step_closer 01-08-2020 10:23 AM

I'm glad you're managing a bit better. I'm sure you're working hard. What's OPA? Are you getting your next depot soon?

Pi.R^2 01-08-2020 12:55 PM

I second Lindsay's question about OPA!

Glad things are still OK. Is your next depot due soon? Maybe there's an option to increase dose/frequency if you're finding it wears off towards the end?

Pomegranate 01-08-2020 06:05 PM

OPA= Out patient Appointment, usually with a psych :-p

I’m glad things are feeling a bit more settled OP :-)

Unbreakable. 02-08-2020 01:15 AM

Opa is German for Grandpa
#helpful

MunchBox 03-08-2020 11:41 AM

Lana's right, got my grandpa on Tuesday, I'm sure it'll be positive ;)

Auror. 05-08-2020 04:13 AM

I think if it hadn't have posted Opa in all caps I would have understood it but it being in all caps made me think it was also an acronym. Hope seeing your Opa went okay!

MunchBox 05-08-2020 07:01 PM

Heh, It was okay, I'm getting an assistant care coordinator along with my regular one when I move.

Pi.R^2 07-08-2020 11:42 AM

Yep, I blame the caps for my not getting it either! What a fun mystery we created :P

Do you know when you will be moving yet?

one_step_closer 07-08-2020 01:55 PM

I wish you best with moving. I hope things will quickly feel better and you feel able to support yourself and if not you can ask for someone to talk two.

MunchBox 11-08-2020 07:45 PM

Thank you, guys.

Im getting the keys sometime within the next two weeks, haven't got an exact date but will know more next week. I need to furnish it but I'm getting help with that. I'm packing bit by bit. It's all very thrilling and trepidation inducing but that's too be expected
