Sorry you are sore Lillie. Hope it eases soon. Glad you are warm though.

We placed chase with her toys and I got her chasing and jumping for a straw.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:04 PM

I'm sorry that you're so sore, but I'm glad you're snuggly warm. :)

I'm warm too. Heating is on and I'm wrapped in a blanket. Had to pop out earlier and it was bloomin' cold! Most of the snow has melted though, so it's all good. Hope there's none overnight as work again tomorrow!

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:04 PM

Oh brilliant, Lorraine! Sounds fun!

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 05:05 PM

I am also warm

That sounds fun Lorraine!

not_so_insig 28-02-2018 05:08 PM

Hello everyone. I have been taking time out of the forums because for various reasons I felt unsafe. Did anyone miss me?

chinahorse 28-02-2018 05:08 PM

I can picture her playing rainey :)

I kbow aubergine! I went out to the gp and to get milk earlier and wow cold!

Can you get to work if it snows more aubergine?

Sadly I can get to work short of I dunno a major incident cording off the city centre as I live in walking distance. Currently trying to work out what else I can wear other than a thermal top, normal top, fleece top and work top.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:11 PM

Hey Dawn. Nice to see you. :)

The hospital is walking distance, so it's fine. Will just have to get up earlier to check, because I'll have to allow extra time for the extra-slow walking speen that I have when it's slippy. :P

I hope you figure out something to wear!

chinahorse 28-02-2018 05:13 PM

Haha me too! I turn into a proper old lady when it's slippy out. Have ypu got any sturdy gripping shoes to wear?

not_so_insig 28-02-2018 05:15 PM

It's cold here too. I have been hiding under a duvet these past few days. Oh and watching Paddington Bear. Only have 1 tv special to watch and I will have finished the dvd.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:18 PM

Yeah, I've got some walking boots. I wear Crocs at work, but I can't imagine Crocs and ice/snow going well together. :P

Oh Paddington Bear reminds me of my childhood. :)

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 05:21 PM

Yeah crocs definitely not a good idea in the snow!!
Although in my personal opinion, crocs aren't a good idea in general :p

chinahorse 28-02-2018 05:24 PM

Oh gosh no to crocs :/ in general lol though apparently they are comfy

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:26 PM

Haha! They are when you stand up for 9 hours at work, with no sitting down apart from lunchtime! Comfiest. Things. Ever. And my feet are always hidden so no one sees anyway. :P

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 05:28 PM

Guess i can let you off then :p

I should have gotten proper shoes when I was working. 12 hour shifts on feet all day, my feet KILLED when i got home!

not_so_insig 28-02-2018 05:30 PM

Aubergine have you seen the film that came out a few years ago with Hugh Bonneville and Julie Walters in? If not I recommend it. I have it on dvd having seen it in my friends house. Paddington 2 comes out next month and I am going to buy it as I am sure that it will be good if the first one is anything to go by.

Last Thursday was my birthday and I am currently eating birthday chocolate having finished my birthday cake.

chinahorse 28-02-2018 05:30 PM

I wear proper expensive running shoes for my stood up for 9.5 hour days. When I had to wear one of my pairs of boots because of my toes I really noticed the difference.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:31 PM

I overpronante on one of my feet too, so was wearing through shoes like nothing. I had one pair of Crocs that lasted three years no problem. :D

Yes, proper shoes are definitely worth investing in!

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 05:32 PM

Definitely worth it to invest in proper shoes when you're on your feet all day!

I seem to walk a bit oddly because heels on one shoe always wear down slanted!

Aubergine 28-02-2018 05:32 PM

Oh no I haven't, Dawn! I'll have to keep an eye out for it. :) Thanks for the recommendation! Oh, happy birthday for the other day. Birthday chocolate sounds lovely! :D
