neosporin on stitches?
is neosporin good or not good to put on top of stitches, ive heard both ways that it inhibits healing and that it promotes it. none of the first aid links work for me, but if someone can point me to a working link or just provide an answer, id appreciate it, i want as little scarring as possible.

I am unfamilure with American products so i am assuming that it is a anti bacterial cream.
The benfits of using it are to prevent infection and to keep the wound moist to promote quicker healing. The edge should be pretty well together if it has been stitched so i cant see it makingn a huge differnce. However, it wont make it any worse. So perhaps apply thecream, but not as frequently as you would if it was an unstitched wound. As for scar reduction, once the stitces have been removed invest in a good vitamin e cream or coco butter and apply this frequently. That should help it heal. Take care Kim |
thank you

Ok, which first aid links are you talking about, because everything should be working, and we need to know exactly what links aren't working so we can get them fixed.
|
the one on treatment of open wounds doesnt exist for me anyways.

It should bring up this page http://www.recoveryourlife.com/index.php?categoryid=93
Does that still not work? Also you may find the stickied thread Useful links and phone numbers useful. |
That doesn't actually explain if you are talking about the links to the articles on the main site, or the links in the "Useful Links and Phone Numbers" thread.

bitter angel - its on the link you sent me where theres a blank thing for the wound care link.

Is the RYL page loading and there just isn't any content to the page (but you can still see the RYL banner) or is the whole page blank? (We need to know so we know if we have to PM James about a site problem)
The majority of the main site pages do not have any information on them yet, as we are waiting for Harley to be able to post things up. So you should still see the layout of the page, so if the whole thing is blank (no RYL banner etc) then we need to let James know. However, the "Useful links and Phone Numbers" thread has some good links, and they should be working (please let us know if they aren't) |
ty that link of numbers and pages is very helpful.
