Could it be the dots in your name? I know chat doesn't like special characters I. Usernames, it may be the three dots throwing it off

Other people have dots. It's usually just symbols that cause issues, like the * because it confuses chat.

The chat mod team are sorry to announce the closure of RYL chat. Over a year ago now chat had to be moved away from the main site, as the software used on the site had become outdated.

As a team, we no longer feel that chat is sustainable as a part of RYL. Traffic has declined, there aren't enough new members to replace those who leave, or to add to the moderation team. It is also difficult to moderate across the two platforms.

Chat has been a big part of RYL for a long time, and we're sorry to see it close. Thank you to everyone who has been involved with it over the years.
