What if I'm infertile...?

I didn't know where else to put it. This is a topic I'm not exactly taking lightly.

I am still recovering from anorexia but I'm being able to eat nearly normally now. Heck, I ate a whole freaking pizza yesterday! :D

But, during that time, I only got my period once every three or four moths. Even then it was really short, maybe lasted only for a day.

Even now, they come only every 2 or 3 months. I'm really afraid of being infertile.

I don't really want kids but if I ever change my mind and I AM infertile or nearly infertile, what should I do? And how do I know if I'm infertile?

From what I know infertility caused by anorexia is usually reversible, the best thing you can do is keep going with recovery :)
Obviously there are other reasons for irregular/fewer than 'normal' periods so if they don't settle as you continue to recover it may well be worth seeking medical advice.
I'm speculating a little here but if your reduced menstruation is due to anorexia then I'd imagine you still have a normal number of healthy eggs which means that there will be many options available to you if you do find yourself having fertility difficulties. A specialist would be necessary to really advise you but there could be treatments from hormone therapies to IVF to surrogacy.
So, yeah I would try not to worry too much at the moment but if you are concerned bring it up with a doctor.

Well done for doing so well in your journey towards recovery, that's fantastic to hear.

With regards to your concerns about fertility all you can really do is approach a doctor who should then be able to do some tests and let you know.

Wishing you luck :)

I think that if u have recovered than u should beable to get pregnant if u want.
If ur having a hard time getting pregnant it could be because ur not ovualting.
Are u ovulating??
If u are or arent & still cant get pregnant u can talk to ur doctor about options their's also some herbs out their that can help with infertitlly.
*Hugs* I'm glad ur recovering :)
Wish u luck :)
