new piercing question

hey guys,
I just got a second piercing on my right ear, i've had my fisr ones for about 4 years now. The new ones don't hurt at all when I just leave it, but when I try to twist it stings pretty bad. I got it done about a week ago. Does anyone know how long its supposed to hurt when twisting it? Is it getting infected? I kinda forget the drill from the first time.
thanks!

If you leave it alone it will heal quicker, it will be stinging because its an open would really and when you twist it you will be irritating it, just keep cleaning it and dont twist it.

^ I agree with above - it should be fully healed after two weeks, I think, is what piercers usually says :)

If there's any oozing or pus, that's a more likely sign of infection than just soreness.

I would say to keep twisting them or the ear could heal around them. But I may be wrong.

Like above its because it is an open wound.

Avoid touching it as much as possible and clean it twice a day with salt water (or how your piercer advised).

DO NOT TWIST THEM.

The only thing you should be doing is soaking them with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of sea salt dissolved in a mug of boiling water. Wait until it is hot enough that it won't burn you but still really hot (do not add cold water) and soak a bit of cotton wool in it and hold that to the piercing until it goes cold.
If you do that every day for two weeks they should heal up fine and with no problems. Do not change them for at least 6 weeks.

I'm guessing you had them done with a gun? Please never ever have any piercings done with a gun again as they cause massive tissue damage and blah blah blah. I'm not going to go into it but guns are a bad idea as they are basically forcing a blunt object through your skin which obviously is not good for it. Just adding that in for future referance and stuff...

I got told off by a peircer for twisting them... I ended up with a lump, but I'm the kind of person who can't help but fiddle...
