foggy nights
 

foggy nights will
get me where i'm going
then i'm gone baby gone
farther than green fields
nearer than points end
tipped edge of new shoes
tripped fledgling got picked by magpie
in shreds dropped on shed roof
sad
i could tell you much worse
i could even tell you the truth
exposed roots
i could show you things nobody could understand
the rain falling in reverse
time collapsing
goodbye forever
forever goodbye
and im right there with you
ill stay near
floating in eternity would not be so bad
with a companion like yourself
help is help
wages spent and spent and spent
a shared bed is better
a night that extends
this poem has no centre
but this is its end
