The Hero Brigade!

HiGuys ^_^

I know there's something a bit similar in the ED board (what have you done for recovery today), but I wanted to make this thread for general heroic acts, ED-related or otherwise.
It's GSA, so I guess for specifics that could be triggering use a hide box.

Fire Away!

OhWait, I'm gonna go first.

I made a thread in Moving Forward declaring my commitment to recovery.
And yesterday I cooked and ate a most delightful pasta bake :)

Also, srs bsns :p

AWESWOME IDEA JENNA!

On friday morning I posted the notes that I was supposed to give my CPN on thursday for our Coping Strategy therapy sessions, and which I conveniently forgot to give her in the session.

The following content has been hidden - Reason : could be triggering/SI

AND- I haven't cut today for the first time in a whole month!

Absolutely awesome idea Jenna and well done both of you!

Rodolphus 22-01-2012 03:44 AM

I approve of this thread.

I earned my hero sticker by being honest with the CT lady, resting when my body told me to and being good with food today.

I am generally being a hero. Hell yeah. C:

Kame 22-01-2012 02:56 PM

Jenna, you are a hero for confusing RYL with your name change :P

Pi.R^2 22-01-2012 03:50 PM

Yayyy, loving the hero-ness occurring here!
I should like to mention Lio (WanderingWomble) for successful breakfast consumption in the face of adversity today!

*pets thread*

My heroic thing for today is going to be eating chicken at nandos tonight =O

offlineforever 22-01-2012 03:53 PM

I have no heroics for today :-( woes!

I am however plotting my heroics for the week, which will be to go to my CPN appointment, as I am now getting to the time that I usually give up on support

Rodolphus 22-01-2012 10:30 PM

*gives Jenna and Lio big hugs and Hero stickers*

I am giving myself Hero points for dealing with a very stressful and emotionally hurtful event by trying to talk about it and riding it out without doing anything harmful. I've also done well with food today.

Well done you! I've never been to Nandos! O_o Tell me how it is! :D

Well done everyone! Hero Points to all!

We should make Hero Badges for our signatures. With pretty people on.

Rodolphus 22-01-2012 10:45 PM

That's the aim, Jodie, that's the aim ;D

I am actually in the process of planning proper Hero badges, for people to wear on their hero days.

Bellatrix 22-01-2012 10:53 PM

YEY!

Also. *leaves a pile of major love for Jenna who found tonight hard but was FANTASTIC and can totally get through this*

little.ophelia 22-01-2012 10:56 PM

My hero thing was going to the hospital last night when I needed to, even though it was scary and I don't like hospitals.

Bellatrix 22-01-2012 11:00 PM

Well done Ilana! That was a really brave thing to do :D

Rodolphus 22-01-2012 11:01 PM

*celebratory wiggles for Jenna and big cuddles*

Tomorrow's hero points (Am I ripping off the 'goals for today' thread, here? Sorry, Jodie!) will be gained by getting up at a reasonable time, doing my physio-yoga-supposedly-help-my-muscles stretches and going out into town, eating sensibly (I will be eating a meal in public) and having a Conversation that may be difficult.

Also, I am going to buy stickers tomorrow :3

That is ridiculously heroic my love; you're doing the right thing, and I hope you get some clarity once you talk about it <3

Well done Ilana, I hope they were extra-nice to you at the hospital <3

when.will.it.end 22-01-2012 11:24 PM

Well done all your heros! You're awesome people :hop:

My heroic act was eating MEALS for the first time in too long for me to remember and allowing myself to rest physically, which I'm also really bad at.

Pi.R^2 22-01-2012 11:27 PM

Well done Katie, that sounds like a really heroic step :)
*awards bright and shiny hero sticker*

when.will.it.end 22-01-2012 11:43 PM

Thank you!

*puts sticker on proudly*
