taste and psychosis

I am not sure if this belongs in first aid or what but everything I eat lately tastes of vinegar. I am checking the ingredients of everything and even stuff that has no vinegar in tastes vinegary. Such as chocolate. It makes no sense.

Does anyone that suffers from psychosis have experienced any foods that taste weird or illogical? I am not sure if this is related to my schizophrenia or what. I am not hallucinating but I do suffer from increased voices.

Finally does anyone know of any physical reason why things taste of vinegar? It's really annoying especially as I don't like vinegar!

Gustatory hallucinations, while rare, can happen in schizophrenia.

The thing is that I am on a depot, so I have nothing by mouth tablet wise. I could understand it if it was on tablets as they can taste pretty awful.

It's spoiling my enjoyment of food. If it is medication related, well I had an increased dose of my antipsychotic, so hopefully it will go away. I really hate vinegar!

When I first became unwell I thought my food was poisoned because it tasted minty.
I've also taken an antibiotic that made everything taste of cod liver oil, and a sleeping tablet that made my mouth taste like I'd drunk really bitter orange juice from a copper can!
I would mention it to your CPN x
