Lush Cosmetics - a cover letter

I'm wanting to apply for a part time job with the lush cosmetics company.

I don't have any retail experience but I have experience in phone customer service.

I really don't know what to put in a cover letter to go with my C.V to apply for a part time position they have

Dear so and so,

I am writing because I am interested in applying for the part time job you have advertised.

Currently I work in Customer service for x company and my duties are x and y and z and I feel that this makes me an ideal candidate for the position.

something like that?

I don't know what to say about Lush itself?

I really love lush thanks bye won't cut it.

I need some help,

thanks,
Syrup.

.. how much you love Lush stuff and how enthusiastic you are to be part of their team....?

Stuff about how you like the products, take a keen interest in their products, etc, will probably be useful & will point towards the fact that you already know a bit about the company & the products they sell.

Good luck, x

Does anyone work at Lush?

hello lovely!
I don't work at Lush, but one of my friends did when we were at uni, and she suggested that its ok to say you are enthusiastic about the products and would relish the opportunity to work for the company. But she also said that you should put in some detail about your previous sales job ie say how brilliantly you met your targets etc, because they're still a business at the end of the day. Albeit a lovely, smiley, yummy business. She also said to emphasise how ace your customer relation skills were. Like say even though you didn't assist customers face to face you still provided helpful, friendly and patient advice blah blah... Sorry I'm sure you'll out it better than me.
Good luck, I hope this waffle can help x

As it turns out I decided not to apply for that position as I'm still unsure as to what is happening in 4 months but if I get on the course I want to do then hopefully there will be something similar available
