I have been out for coffee with my friend. I had two cups of latte and they gave out a free sample of carrot cake whilst I was there. I already had a muffin.

I've managed to sort out all I can do for now for my pension, sorted out getting my hair done (called them and they will match groupon without me buying the voucher) and bought a new PPC for my prescriptions. That's enough adulting I feel. May have a nap now.

Does anyone know of tasty things to do with cooked beetroot? I have one of those packs of beetroot that has been cooked with 4 in it which I usually use for salads but I'm not having much salad right now and I need some ideas so that when I open the pack I can use them quick enough before they go bad.

I’m not sure what to sew next. Maybe a bag for myself.

Could you google beetroot recipes?

That would be nice. Would you ever sew a patchwork quilt? I think they look really nice.

I've Googled but didn't come up with anything because a lot of it was using raw beetroot or making it into soup and I don't have a whizzy thing to mush it up.

I was out for several hours and the workmen stopped working at around 4 pm. They didn't start until 11 am so they didn't wake me up. Just as long as they don't put a skip outside my window.

I am tempted by chocolate brownies but they're a bit unhealthy!

Thanks Eska. I am probably getting up earlier tomorrow because my mum is coming to clean so I am hoping that they don't start too early.

The thing is that they are leaving the communal door open. My cat got into the corridor before and I was scared that she would get out properly. If she got out I wouldn't see her again because she's an indoor cat. Fortunately I managed to grab her before she got out. She's not scared of anything so the fact that there was banging didn't make her retreat indoors. In fact the only thing that I have discovered that she's scared of is dogs.
