Been wanting to
I've already given into the urge to hurt myself once today. it helped...a little bit, but now I want to do it again. Even though I mainly hit, I am having urges to cut, even though I haven't done that in a long time.
I've been trying distractions but they aren't working. |
I have a big distractions page written out (maybe you can write yourself a huge list to look at when these urges appear), but I sometimes find it difficult to use, so when I find it hard to distract myself I sometimes curl up in bed and listen to music. Can you phone or visit someone?

I might call my aunt if she is in town, or shoot her a message through facebook.

I am doing some better today thanks :) I got through yesterday without harming at all! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a 'recovery' book where I write down my achievements, perhaps it might be helpful for you to note down your achievements somewhere so if you are going through a tough time, you can look at the book (or whatever) and see the steps you have made when you have felt more positive. xx |

I'm just sending out my thoughts to you Celticroots. How are you feeling today? Acknowledging all of your achievements sounds like a really good idea, it can be hugely beneficial and you deserve to remind yourself of all that you've done, and to be happy and proud of it :)
