Started as 2 stars (it was ok) as it was quite slow but then it got more interesting so I gave it 3 stars (liked it).

Now reading A Trick I Learned From Dead Men - Kitty Aldridge.

I'm finally reading 'Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine'. I'm really, really enjoying it so far (I'm about 3/4 of the way through).

Yay! I'm glad you're enjoying it, I think if you're really really enjoying it at this point you will probably like it all the way through.

I'm so impressed by how much you read Lindsay!

I finished 'Eleanor Oliphant' and loved it. Best book I've read in ages. Now I'm reading 'The Year of Less' by Cait Flanders. I'm not thrilled by it so far, but I'm only a couple of chapters in.

Maybe the book you're reading now isn't living up to the Eleanor Oliphant experience. Hope it gets better or you can find something else interesting to read.

I have plenty of time to read. I usually go somewhere on the bus most days and read then, and do maybe an hour of reading in the evening too.

Two steps forward by Graeme Simsion arrived in the post today. Really looking forward to it!

I finished it when I was out and had my kindle with me but wanted to read a real book so I started reading Brief Horrible Moments - Marko Pandza since it is only one sentence horror stories so I could have something to read when I was out but can finish it quickly and get onto another book.

Had to stop reading The Comforters because a library reservation arrived.

Now reading The Rosary Girls - Richard Montanari.

2 stars (it was ok).

I'm still halfway through 'The Year of Less' but it's really boring. I do want to finish it and will keep reading, but I'm now also reading 'Wild' by Cheryl Strayed, which I'm loving so far.

I might add Wild to my to read list.

3 stars (liked it) would have given it 3.5 stars if possible.

Now back to reading The Comforters - Muriel Spark.

Also reading The Little Pocket Book of Mindfulness - Anna Black.

3 stars (liked it). I liked reading it but didn't understand a lot of what was going on. Plus the characters alternated between using their first names and their surnames which made it difficult to remember who was who. I probably would have given it 2.5 stars overall.

Are you enjoying it? I LOVED it. It was one of those books I was sad to finish because even if I read it again it wouldn't be the same because I'd know the ending! I had certain issues with it but I could forgive them because it was such a good read.

I have that on my Kindle but haven't read it yet. Please let me know what you think of it when you finish.

I'm 104 pages in and persevering. I'm finding it a bit repetitive in places so far but I'm interested in seeing what is going to happen. Plus since you LOVED it, I will definitely keep going.

Oh and I've read this, rated it 3 stars (liked it). I can't actually remember anything about it though!

at the local charity shop, there are paperbacks for 49p and hardbacks for 99p to be bought - so i got one of each
i never saw the girl on the train movie, so maybe just reading the book is right for me:)

Charity shops are great for book bargains, although I've seen some charge £2.50 for paperbacks which is a good deal but I'd prefer them to be £1 or less!

I have The Girl On The Train on my book case and I've never seen the film either. If you read it let me know if you recommend it.

Lindsay, I'd say it's probably worth a read. I didn't enjoy it as much as The Ice Twins, but I did still enjoy reading it for the most part.

I really liked The Girl On The Train. The film is terrible. I really wouldn't bother watching it!

Could not get into Scaredy Cat, only chose it because I have to chose a crime book to read for the reading group I go to and I have no idea what is crime and what is a thriller and Scaredy Cat definitely had crime in it!

Found a book that says 'the crime novel of the year' on the front cover so I'm giving it a shot:

I gave this 2 stars (it was ok) I wasn't that impressed.

Now reading Magical Thinking - Augusten Burroughs.

Nothing cultured... but started Harry Potter again from the beginning. Haven't read the books for so long. =)

Harry Potter is 100% cultured. I sometimes think I'd like to read the books again but then I think that there are so many books I haven't read that I should be reading them instead. Hope you're enjoying them.
