And the sky is beautiful. I get amazing sun rises and sun sets here. My top floor window faces North so I get a panorama of both worlds.

I love long days, they make me happy.

In the Western Isles, where we have a cottage, it'll be light around the third week of June until midnight. You don't need a torch to get about outside - it gets what I call bosky - and by 1.30 or 2 in the morning it's getting distinctly light again. Sunrise is about 3 am!

The corollary is that in December it's not properly light until about 9 am and it starts getting dark again at about 3 pm. I dare say that in the Shetlands (a good bit further north) there's even less daylight than in the Hebrides.

I'm the same. I much prefer dark nights.

It's been tipping with rain here all afternoon and evening, so just all cloud and gloom here tonight!

I get a really nice view of the sky here. I live in a rural area, so you can really see all the colours at the right time. I had a friend come to stay the other week and she went upstairs and commented on how pretty the sky was!
I'll have to take a picture when i remember!

I live in a fairly rural area too, but if I go over the Common and up the hill, I can watch the sun set/rise over the City. It's truly beautiful. I#ll try and take a photo later if the sun pops out amongst all these clouds!

Same here. It's been raining pretty much non-stop since about 10am yesterday.
