I would waste it on Blackjack and hookers

I don't think it would really change me as a person, I would be able to do a lot of the things i've always wanted to do but I don't THINK it would change me too much.
|
I would hope that it wouldn't change me as a person, but I do think it would open up oppurtunities for me that I wouldn't have been able to experience otherwise.
|
It wouldn't be able to handle it. I hope I don't win the lottery.
|
I don't gamble for ethical reasons, so it wouldn't happen to me.
|
Ohh the dream. Hmmm I dont think it would change me but you never know how it would work.
I would still only buy a normal house, normal car, actually I really want a toyota iq, |
I like to think it wouldn't change me. But the people who say 'money doesn't buy you happiness' while they may be true for the most part they are forgetting that money DOES actually solve a lot of very real problems. I would be a lot happier knowing that I can pay off student loans, get a flat where i want (heck, get two flats with that amount of money), look after myself while I find a job, get a masters degree etc and never have to worry about money.

I don't think it would change me too much. I think I'd probably do a secret millionaire type thing... volunteer in a place for a while and then be like "hey, guess what? I'm a millionaire, here's a few hundred grand" :P
|
I dont think it would change me either, more like take away the stress of finance and also give me opportunities to do what i really want and new experiences.
i wouldnt go crazy, because i personally dont really like materialism too much and i would hope i am strong enough in that value to stick to that. but i would defs give me and people around me some treats :P |
I'd go back to sleep!

I would never, ever stop reminding myself how financially irresponsible lottery winners turn out to be. Just because you win a few million quid doesn't mean you get to live in luxury for the rest of your life; you need to be careful with it. Just ask the many, many jackpot winners who filed for bankruptcy because, having spent their millions on a huge house and an expensive car and all sorts of bells and whistles, they now have to try and pay their enormous mortgage payments and car payments and everything else with their regular wages. Let's say you win £20 million and buy a £10 million house for yourself and another £10 million house for your parents to retire in - good luck paying the bills for both of them if you earn £8 per hour (or worse, quit your job after winning the lotto).
If I won the lottery I'd obviously splurge a bit, because who wouldn't? But I'd make sure I could afford to. I wouldn't buy something that I'd be paying off long after my winnings run out. I would make every possible effort to live within my means. |
I think it's be amazing.
I'd only tell my mum probably, not anyone else. And I wouldn't be flashy with it. I doubt I'd by much new in terms of big possessions, I'd probably buy some clothes but I wouldn't buy a new car or move house or anyting like that - the reason being I'm happy where I am and I wouldn't want to change things - you never know. It would be financial security for the rest of my life and not having to worry about this. 2 years ago I was in a situation where after I paid my bills I had £50 to live on, per month. It was horrific. I got to the point where I had £2.50 left in my bank account for food. I'm not in that situation now, thankfully. It didn't bother me to the point it would've bothered some people, but it was a horrible situation. I guess the biggest plus of winning the lottery would be to know that I wouldn't have to financially struggle again; it's like a protection against that. I probably would put the whole lot bar a few thousand into a massive savings account! |

Id give a lot of it away to charity. I wouldn't be able to cope with that much money.
|
Put a lot of it in the bank/ISA for the interest, probably invest in property, either pay off my parents mortgage or buy them a house, give some to charity and then buy the things I want.
I dont think it would change me at all. |
I would buy myself a house and a dog and I would live happily ever after! The rest would be used to help family/given to charity!
|
I don't know if it would change me. But I do know what I would do with the money. I'd put some into a savings account. Give some to my friends and family and donate some to charities. I think I would continue to work aswell though.
|
I agree, I wouldn't go mental and buy million pound houses etc for a start what do I want with a house that size? But I would def buy a house amd my comedy clown car the Iq because I dont own either at the moment. But it literally would be a house on the estate where my mum lives.
Dependimg on the amount I have already (in my dream world) worked out who I would give money to a couple of very close friends amd close family members. Then I might buy Byron a gold scratching post ;) |
I'd love to buy a house for me to live near my cousins - a safe place where I could have the space I need to recover but near my family & with my pets.
I'd also pay off Mum's mortgage and offer her a bigger place if she wanted. Same goes for my cousin's and I would definitely invest money for my cousin's children so they have it when they are old enough to go to uni/move out etc. Aside from that, I'm not entirely sure. I'd definitely give some money to charity and invest somewhere else. I think a lot of my money would go on improving services for refuges. |
