good bathroom air fresheners

Ok. Share your preferences!
I need a new air freshener for my bathroom. I have a tiny bathroom.
The room doesn't smell, but I like a fresh whiff!

I've tried the traditional block one, and one that you tip to get a stronger scent.

But neither seem to last long, and, as I say, my bathroom is teeny.

Also, there is no plug socket in there, so plug in ones wouldn't work.

And, I don't like nasty spray ones! Though I have a nice essential oil one.

ive had the ones with sticks that come out the top of them, they smell really nice and you can keep topping it up with oils etc

over and out I think you may be referring to reed diffusers. I really like reed diffusers, especially the ones Yankee Candle make.

The reed diffusers do work pretty well and they last for quite a while. They're not particularly strong but in a tiny room it probably would be.

Maybe you could try burning some incense/joss sticks.

Burning incense is a lovely way to make a room or your home smell lovely, I often burn incense, high quality incense will smell really lovely when burned :)

Thanks. :)

Unfortunately my accommodation doesn't allow candles/incense so that wouldn't work. But I might give reed diffusers a try if I can find a scent I like.

Reed diffusers are great! I love the air wick linen and 'something else' one.

There's loads of different smelling reed diffusers! Sweet pea is nice :)

Stellata 12-04-2013 08:10 AM

Thanks. :)

Anyone know the best shop? I have Tesco, Sainsbury's, Wilkinsons, Debenhams, M&S, BHS.....

Dunelm mill!

Pi.R^2 12-04-2013 12:14 PM

Get some pot pourri!

Cacoethes 12-04-2013 01:46 PM

I get my reed diffusers from tesco.

Dunelm mill is awesome though!

Stellata 12-04-2013 03:38 PM

Thanks all.

As far as I know there's not a Dunelm Mill near me.
Jenna, wouldn't pot pourri get kind of damp in a mini bathroom and go mouldy?!

I got some reed diffusers from Tescos, their own make. 'Mysterious Touch' which is cedarwood and bergamot, apparently, though basically it smells just floral. It's meant to last 6 weeks, but we'll see.

:o Wilkinsons have an online shop?

Well I'll be damned...

Stellata 12-04-2013 05:29 PM

Yeah, they do, for some reason! Me, I just pop down there!

Beautifully Broken 12-04-2013 07:58 PM

Home Bargains if you have one near you...I'm sure there was some for like 99p or £1.99...Totally not promoting where I work :P

Mrs Sam 12-04-2013 09:08 PM

What about some nice smelling soaps and stuff? Then you can use them and buy new ones with different smells. Bath bombs also usually have quite a strong smell that last a whole.

Stellata 13-04-2013 07:30 AM

No Home Bargains near here that I know of, but I've only been here 2 and a half months so far!

Sam, I don't have a bath, just a shower, though I could just stick the bath bomb on a dish! [Though it might start to dissolve when the room gets steamy!]
